A lull between winter storms leaves the beaches dry with the only snow on the distant mountains. Herons, and gulls enjoy the abundant fish in the coves of Lake Almanor, a reservoir at 4,500' elevation at the northernmost Sierras south of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Digital image treated with vintage style colors.
