Artist's Description

On February 20th the crescent moon was in convergence with Venus and Mars; the following evening, with the moon lagging further behind, I captured this twilight image of Venus and Mars less than 1 degree away from each other as viewed from Earth. Taken at Lake Almanor, California, Plumas County, Sierra-Cascades. (2015) #jandaviesphotography
