Artist's Description

Driving up Hwy 395 in the eastern Sierras, we needed to stretch our legs and chose this dirt road in the Owens Valley which takes you out to some historic charcoal kilns. Despite knowing better, I knelt down for the shot and got a small piece of cactus in my knee. :(
